CX Tip of the Day
|
When customers move on, their data’s fate shouldn’t be a mystery novel. Clearly explain what happens to their information post-exit – retention, anonymization, deletion – in plain language, easy as reading a menu. If they need historical data, make requesting it a smooth stroll, not a digital scavenger hunt. Guide them directly to the self-service portal or contact point for data requests, perhaps via their final communications or an ‘alumni’ section. This transparency fosters trust long after they’ve left, showing you respect their past and future privacy.
Stage: Growth, Retention, and Churn Management
Trend: Trust Through Transparency – Regulatory driver: Rising focus on data privacy and access during and after service termination, requiring secure data handling, compliance with retention policies, and transparent customer access to personal information.
