For him a heart, for me, confidence.<\/section>\n<section class=\"e-content\" data-field=\"body\">\n<section class=\"section section--body section--first\">\n<div class=\"section-divider\">\n<hr class=\"section-divider\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section-content\">\n<div class=\"section-inner sectionLayout--insetColumn\">\n<h3 id=\"b523\" class=\"graf graf--h3 graf--leading graf--title\">Finding confidence<\/h3>\n<p id=\"87de\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--h3\">I have lost it, like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. For him a heart, for me, confidence.<\/p>\n<p id=\"d356\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">A cancer has been consuming my passion, work, art. Certainty. The skill of carrying yourself with such conviction that everybody believes you have all the answers, including yourself.<\/p>\n<p id=\"649b\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Certainty is foolhardy.<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"095e\" class=\"graf graf--blockquote graf--startsWithDoubleQuote graf-after--p\"><p>\u201cIs this ship really unsinkable?\u201d she nervously inquires of a nearby deckhand. \u201cYes, lady,\u201d the deckhand answers. \u201cGod himself could not sink this ship.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"a1bf\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--blockquote\">Certainty erodes confidence. Certainty is a dead-end.<\/p>\n<p id=\"a40b\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">In a society where we are spoon-fed facts, and alternatives, it negates the need to ask questions? Effort. Why bother? I want to bother! It\u2019s life and death, finding meaning and confidence.<\/p>\n<p id=\"341d\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Being inquisitive and doing the work, leads to confidence.<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"37f3\" class=\"graf graf--blockquote graf-after--p\"><p>Madeline Albright said, \u201cCertainty comes from believing we have learned all there is to know. Confidence comes from the effort to learn all we can.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"92eb\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--blockquote graf--trailing\">In a world filled with answers, there\u2019s nothing left for an artist to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"section section--body\">\n<div class=\"section-divider\">\n<hr class=\"section-divider\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section-content\">\n<div class=\"section-inner sectionLayout--insetColumn\">\n<h3 id=\"f549\" class=\"graf graf--h3 graf--leading\">Creating a culture that seeks out\u00a0answers<\/h3>\n<p id=\"117c\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--h3\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">A personal example of \u2018Questions\u2019 in action.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"db5c\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">I recently spent and day with friends working on faux communication campaign. The objective, create a Public Service Announcement on Global Warming.<\/p>\n<p id=\"d85b\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Convention.<\/strong> Global Warming messages often consist of facts and science. There was no personal urgency to ask questions. We believed it wasn\u2019t intimate enough.<\/p>\n<p id=\"7e4b\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Human truth, a pattern.<\/strong> Migration is a critical topic in Europe. A human tragedy littered with questions, driven by fear, drama and empathy. Even though it is heartbreaking, most of us deny responsibility for it.<\/p>\n<p id=\"bd03\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Disruption.<\/strong> What if we told you that a catastrophic migration, at an unheard of scale, is coming? Driven, not by war, but by the choices, products and the lifestyle we lead today. Who\u2019s accountable now?<\/p>\n<p id=\"467f\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Storyboard.<\/strong> The following is a story of two families. Their experiences contrasted as they travel to their destinations. The final reveal, one journey indirectly influenced the other.
